The effect of using the semantic mapping strategy on developing attention and cognitive achievement of some of the teaching methods subject terms

The aim of the research is to discover the effect of using semantic maps on the development of attention and cognitive achievement of the teaching methodology. The research community was represented by students of the second academic year in the Department of Physical Education / Vakulti Education / University of Zakho for the academic year (2018 2019), and their number reached (50) male and female students. The two research groups were equivalent by conducting equivalence tests between the two research groups in order to control the variables related to the research Which may affect the experimental results and from these variables (age, intelligence, attention, cognitive achievement). As for the methods of data collection, the cognitive achievement test and the attention measure, and the researcher's use of the SPSS program in processing the data statistically, and the researcher reached the following conclusions ( The experimental group excelled in the attention focus scale test over the control group, the semantic maps strategy contributed to the superiority of the experimental group in the cognitive achievement test, the semantic mapping strategy and the method used contributed to raising the level of focus of attention for the experimental and control group, but the effect of semantic maps was greater than the method used
