Dialogue, Sayyid FadlallahAbstract
Dialogue holds a significant place in the Holy Qur'an, where it is valued as a means of fostering understanding and unity among communities. Dialogue encourages societies to move from intellectual stagnation and cultural decline towards growth and positive change. It promotes open-mindedness, acceptance of different views, and peaceful coexistence. Sayyid Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah (may Allah have mercy on him) was a strong advocate for dialogue, emphasizing its essential role. This study examines his approach through an introduction and four main sections.
The first section explains key concepts, including Sayyid Fadlallah’s views on dialogue, his background, and his works. The second section explores how he saw the role of dialogue in creating change. The third section outlines five main conditions for effective dialogue, and the fourth section describes its benefits. The study ends with a summary of the findings and references.
