It is also one of the main reasons that undermine efforts to achieve the political stability of many States. The prevention of such trade has been reflected in the conclusion of treaties and conferences as well as in the development of laws, programs and instruments to combat the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons. There are a number of reasons for the spread of this type of weapon, including lack of security, political instability, and the lack of uniformity of laws to combat the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons. We have found that despite the efforts exerted by countries at the domestic level and the UN at the international level, these weapons continue to spread. This leaves us with the impression that it is difficult to control internationally the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons, because they are easy to manufacture and conceal. Transport is already abundant and widely distributed, with at least 600 million of them currently deployed worldwide.</p> ER -
