Spatial variation and production indicators of chicken farming projects in Dohuk Governorate for the year 2015

Chicken breeding projects (meat - eggs) is one of the most important livestock projects in Iraq and the region, and its production is one of the most important sources of food that cannot be dispensed with, and in view of this the increasing demand for it. The use of modern technologies in large projects.
Although there are (207) projects for raising chickens in the province, they are constantly increasing day after day as a result of the growing demand for them, due to the increasing population growth as well as the improvement of the economic situation, and in view of this importance, this study came with the aim of knowing the numbers and nature of the distribution of chicken breeding projects In the province, and their efficiency to meet the needs of the local market, as well as studying the spatial variation of those projects at the level of the districts of the province.
To obtain data on those projects, two questionnaires were used, the first consisting of (29) questions, distributed to investors (the owners of projects) and the workers who work in them, while the second form is directed to consumers to measure their desires to consume local production, consisting of (5) questions, According to the foregoing, the study concluded that there is a spatial discrepancy in the number of chicken breeding projects, with the emergence of significant discrepancies at the level of the number of halls, productivity and skill of workers and at the level of the province's districts.
