The role of urban families on the expansion of the city of Dohuk and its morphology

This study dealt with the urban expansion in the city of Dohuk and the urban families’ operations that accompanied this expansion in the morphological stages that the city passed through and its impact on the morphology of those villages that joined the urban space. This study indicated one of the most important characteristics of the city and its growth. The study dealt with the holistic and local transformations in the urban structure at the level of the part and the whole, considering that these urban transformations are among the most important transformations that the city is witnessing in the stages of its existence. The city of Dohuk has witnessed a rapid development during the last three decades as a direct result of the growth of the city’s population and the resulting urban and spatial expansion and the operations of urban families, and the accompanying changes in the morphology of the city in general and the morphology of the captured villages in particular

- Reservation of Rights
The researcher(s) preserves all intellectual property rights (except for the one transferred to the publisher under this Agreement).
- Researcher’s guarantee
