Abstract

The research aims to know the cognitive ability and its role in enhancing the proactive sustainability strategy in a number of hotel organizations in the Kurdistan Region. The theoretical aspect was written based on dissertations, university dissertations, research, and the Internet. The researchers used the descriptive analysis approach, and in the practical aspect they relied on the questionnaire form. In order to collect data from the researched field, (153) questionnaires were distributed to the research sample, and using a number of statistical methods, the results were analyzed and the hypotheses were tested, after systematically organizing logical hypotheses for the research using Cronbach Alpha, and the research concluded that there was a relationship with a significant correlation between the dimensions of cognitive ability. And the proactive sustainability strategy, and the dimensions of cognitive ability have a significant role and influence in achieving the proactive sustainability strategy. The researchers suggested the need to pay attention and be careful to attract cadres with administrative, financial, and strategic specializations by searching for them in universities and scientific institutes, to reduce the shortage they have in these specializations, because of their major role in the management and operations of hotel organizations and their activities.
