The Role of Soft Power in Making the Foreign Policy of the United States of America

This research aims to define soft power and its uses in American policy, in addition to identifying the tools of soft power in American foreign policy, and analyzing how soft power is implemented in American foreign policy. We have come to the conclusion that soft power is the ability to achieve desired goals through flexible or Persuasion rather than coercion or temptation with money. It is no secret to students in the field of international relations that the soft power resources of any country are its culture and political values, as well as its foreign policy. Its use is diverse, including means of economic, diplomatic, and psychological pressure, and there are also methods of temptation and attraction, including various arts, including literature, theater, and cinema. We should not forget that the basis of American soft power is: liberal democratic policies, free market economics, and basic values such as human rights and others.
