Studying Public Law in Interdisciplinary Approaches
The field of civil-military relations as example

Although the Arab legal academy was inspired by the French model, in the post-colonial period, which is based - unlike its American counterpart - on the approach to studying law in relation to reality, political science and society; However, Arab legal researchers - unlike their Western counterparts - are still reluctant to study law according to interdisciplinary approaches. This puts theoretical and methodological obstacles in the way of keeping pace with legal studies on a number of emerging topics, such as explaining the role of the army and its place in the constitutional system, due to the lack of recognition by traditional constitutional theory as a political institution. This paper comes as an attempt to encourage interdisciplinary studies, by presenting a composite approach between constitutional law and civil-military relations, as an example of this type of studies.
