Duhok Province Between 1970 – 1991 AD A historical study of its economic, social and cultural developments

The presence of strategic places in terms of water, plains, agriculture and economy and the presence of ancient monuments in any region is a sign of the importance of that region.
Duhok province is one of the ancient and important regions of the world, where many important civilizations of the world were built on this land, such as the Akkadian, Assyrian, Subarti, Lulubi, Gothic and Mitanni civilizations It is golden and suitable from all sides, whether in terms of agriculture or trade, which is an important and strategic point that falls on the border of several countries, or in terms of industry and production, etc.
The Ba'ath regime was trying to suppress the national rights of the citizens of this province, desertify its territory and forbid its citizens to read and write in their mother tongue.

- Reservation of Rights
