Building the Geographical Assessment Model for Human Development in Iraq

Since its inception, the human development approach has revealed many weaknesses and imbalances in development and development in general, and with the support and follow-up of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), States and their governments have taken more interest than ever before to compete in leading regional and global levels of development by measuring that process With a special index called the Human Development Index, which is based primarily on a set of data on health, education and per capita income. Thus, the international, regional and even local differences emerged in the levels of human development, which was the reason for the interest of many scientific disciplines, including geography through the spatial perspective of the subject and gave the entry of geographic information systems (GIS) and strongly in the geographical research through the tools of spatial analysis motivated geographers to address the issue of development In general, research begins to address and address many of the relevant data through the GIS environment and its advanced analytical tools, such as Modeling, in order to reveal the reality of spatial variation of human development in the governorates of Iraq and by integrating many of the relevant affecting the levels of those development indicators.

- The Academic Journal of Nawroz University reserves all rights to publish research papers/articles issued under a “Creative Commons License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction of the paper/article by any means, provided that the original work is correctly cited.
- Reservation of Rights
The researcher(s) preserves all intellectual property rights (except for the one transferred to the publisher under this Agreement).
- Researcher’s guarantee
The researcher(s) hereby guarantees that the content of the paper/article is original. It has been submitted only to the Academic Journal of Nawroz University and has not been previously published by any other party.
In the event that the paper/article is written jointly with other researchers, the researcher guarantees that he/she has informed the other co-authors about the terms of this agreement, as well as obtaining their signature or written permission to sign on their behalf.
